Hi guys.
Im a 20 year old danish girl who really really want to get away for some adventure in south america from september 2011 and 4 - 8 months forward. I\'ll start my trip volunteering in Bolivia with the organisation projects-abroad for 2-3 month - I THINK 😊
Afterwards I want to backpack througt south america - I dont really have a concrete plan, but I\'ve heard Rio in Brazil is a great place to spend christmas. I want to dive, surf, see the amazonas, carnival, do trekking, horseriding, see the lake Titicaca, salt deserts, great beaches and last but NOT least party and meet some new great people.Im an openminded person who would like to experience the culture fom the inside out, in stead of just sitting in a hotel with other turists.
I\'m pretty scared about travelling alone although all the great stories from other women who have travelled alone, really makes me happy and calms me down a little. But some company would be the best!
So if you\'re interested just drop a message and we could exchange emails and stuff. we have allmost a year to plan the trip so no stress!!

I read your post and was instantly interested. I've been thinking of spending some time in South America for quite a while now.
My name is Marta and I come from Poland but since past 5 years I've been in and out of the country. I currently live in Germany where I study. I will be graduating next year in June (I am 24 btw) I was thinking of going to South America in October 2011 and starting with a volunteer job (costa rica, colombia, ecuador, bolivia - wherever I find something).
I am rather a budget traveler and I am all for the backpacking. I am also a passionate couchsurfer and photo amateur.

I too am a photo amateur, and I have been thinking a lot about couchsurfing too! The budget travelling sounds just like my kind of travelling - so its just perfect. I just gratuated this summer, and this year I work in a kindergarden to save up a lot of money. Ive been studying spanish i school for three years, but I think I will need a small course while Im volunteering down there, just to refresh it.

I just read your blog and all of it sounds fantastic! It's exactly what I am looking for, except that I am keen to go from May to July next year. Any chance you'll be there around then? I'm a 20 year old girl from Oz and have a couple of years off from study and need an adventure! I am planning to learn a bit of Spanish before I go but want to do a Spanish course for a month or so when I get there and get a feel for the culture while I'm there. I have no plans set in stone for the next couple of months and am very open to ideas!
If anyone else is going to South America around this time let me know!

Reply to this Hi Astrid, I am very interested in your adventure! I am a 24 year old girl from the US (grew up in Wyoming and went to school in Colorado). I want to volunteer abroad (possibly teach) and then backpack. I just went backpacking for 3 months (also did some canoeing, climbing, etc) and I want to keep backpacking!
