Hey

Welcome to travelblog.

Can you be a bit more specific about what kind of advice you are looking for?

A good start would be the blogs on here about Vietnam and Cambodia. Reading about other people's trips will give you some idea what to expect.

Hi,

We are just about to leave Camboida having spent nearly two months between Vietnam and Cambodia. Personally, I would say that 2 weeks is not long to take in both of these countries - unless you are going to do a fair amount of flying.

Vietnam is busy, busy, busy and roads are full of motorbikes. My top tip would therefore be to bring ear plugs!

We preferred Saigon to Hanoi and don't think much of Phnom Penh. Siem Reap is a brilliantly relaxing place that had us hooked.

Hope you enjoy your trip. Reply to this

You might be able to pull off Laos and Cambodia in two weeks but Cambodia and Vietnam in two weeks will be tough. I'm sure you've done some research on what you want to see. Give your self some time to sit around and talk with the locals.

Laos is one of my favorites.

Ankor Wat and the Siem Reap area provide lots of history and beauty. Not to be missed or rushed.
If you go to Hanoi take the time to see the Water Puppets.

I'm with the others on this one. You need to choose which parts of Vietnam you want to see. If you rushed from North to South on a whistle stop tour, you could JUST to it in 2 weeks. Without Cambodia. How about deciding on either the North (Hanoi, Halong bay, Sapa and perhaps Hoi An) or the South (Ho Chi Minh City, the Mekong Delta, Mui Ne and Dalat)?

If you want to see Angkor and Phnom Penh then the South would be better as you can get a bus from HCMC to Phnom Penh.

Check out the budget airlines for cheap flights within the region - Jetstar fly inside Vietnam as do Vietnam Airlines, whilst Air Asia fly between Asian countries. This is a big area so flying may be your best bet. Reply to this

You should not miss beautiful Halong Bay in Vietnam. Here you can explore the beautiful caves and islands. It is one of my favorites. In Cambodia, magnificent temples at Angkor are the famous tourist attractions. Reply to this
