Hiya we're off travelling for 12months from September. Anyone got any advice on travel insurance, ones you've used or can recommend? Tracy and Stephen Reply to this

Hi Tracy

We used World Nomads, they were pretty pricey though. We mainly chose them as they are one of the few companies where you can extend your insurance while out the country. I'm suire if you know you'll only be away for 12 months you'll probably find a cheaper option.

World Nomads were great for us though, we made a few claims and were dealt with quickly and efficiently at all times. They also cover for many 'adventure' sports without you having to pay extra which is a bonus.

Hi Tracy,

I've also used World Nomads a couple of times. It was very easy to organise because everything can be done online - fortunately I didn't need to test the claims process myself :-)

This is the TB link for World Nomads. Reply to this

if you use the promo code WNFACE you'll get 10% off the online quote too. make sure you add-on premiums for expensive items like DSLRs or laptops etc, because if you read the fine print they only cover up to $250 per individual item. Reply to this
