Cheap Accommodation in Melbourne

We're heading to Melbourne in September and will be buying a camper van but need somewhere cheap to stay in the meantime, any recommendations?

Our daily budget is $35 each so ideally we would need somewhere for no more than $25 each.

Any ideas would be great as we can already see that even dorms are costing about $40ish.

If you are looking for cheap accommodation but do not want to stay in a backpackers hostel, try this new site www.bedroamz.com where you can stay at someone's place just for a few days. There are different options offered homestay, house share or free lodging in exchange for work. You can also place an advert for free asking for a room. Happy travelling! Reply to this
