Just wondering if those out there who have actually traveled through South America could please let me know which discount cards are best to get? ISIC/IYIC/hostel discount cards/student cards etc. Do any of those work?
I ask because I was told that I "must" get the Hostel International card and a IYIC card (not a student anymore) when going through Europe, and I think I maybe used them once or twice.
Reply to this You need to be a student for the ISIC card, even post grad are eligible, but proof has to be supplied. The others frankly are not going to save you much money and limit you to certain lodging. HI lodging is not often the best choice.
