How rainy is the rainy season in Tanzania?
13 years ago, June 26th 2010 No: 1 Msg: #114136
We are planning on a safari in tanzania next March. No mountain climbing, just animal viewing. Would it be better to go the first week of March, or the third? I have read that March starts the rainy season. I don't mind too much rain, but does the rain inhibit or excite the animals? Reply to this

I would go the first week of March. What I would worry about is road conditions in the mud. By going the first week, even if it does rain, it will be early in the rain season so the roads may not be that bad yet. In the first week of March is is very possible that it will not have started raining yet. Animals are easier to find during the dry season since they congregate along the water sources. Best wishes and have a great trip. Reply to this
