We're landing in Bangkok tomorrow and staying til Monday (ish), does anywant want to meet and swap a new edition LP China for a new edition (or newish) of LP South East Asia on a Shoestring?

Let us know and we can meet in Bangkok near Koh San Road area for a swapsie 😊

Alternatively, if anyone knows where we can pick up a cheap one let us know.

If no-one replies with a a straight swap, don't worry.

There are hundreds of stalls up KSR and Soi Rambuttri, that will buy your China LP and will sell SE Asia LP's too... As with everything bargain hard to get a price you're happy with. They have second hand and brand new copies so it's up to you which you want.

It's definately worth opening it and checking it thoroughly though as it could be a photocopied copy. I've seen some pretty shocking forgeries that are impossible to read and some amazing ones so just be aware of what you're buying. I bought most of my Asian guide books there, I collect them from everywhere we've been and send them back home when we're done... My bookshelves blow people away when they come round my house... 😱 Reply to this

Hi

Not sure if you'll go to Vietnam, but if you happen to be there, they sell photocopied (colour) of LP for about US$5. Yes, pirated stuff.

Check out the maps when buying. Some photocopies you wont see any difference from the original until you try reading a map... Reply to this
