I'm currently staying in Salta, not loving my Hostel 'La Salamanca' mainly because its quite far from the center, and a bit empty. Any recommendations for good, social places to stay in Salta?
Next stop, Bolivia - apart from La Paz, Titicaca and the salt flats, are there any other unmissable spots? - same for Peru, I'll be staying in Cuzco and Lima, where else is good?
Reply to this In Salta we stayed in a very mice hostel (though not a party type like its seems to be that you are looking for) it is called La Virgin de la Pompeya. Close to it, there is a an hostel, we have heard it is a party hostel - it is called exxe or something similar. There are 2 restaurants for meat in Salta I can reccomend: Viejo Jack and El Monumental.
In Bolivia I would add to the do not miss list - Rurrenbaque. You can reach it either by bus (20 hours or so on a bumpy bus, but doable) or by flight. You can find there both lots of fun - restaurants, bars, people etc and some adventure by going to tours in the pampas or in the jungle.
In Peru - It really depends on what you like to do. If you are into hiking and trekking then you should add Huaraz, north of Lima. You can add also Ica and the small town next to it, called Huacachina - there you can have lots of fun with sand boarding. You can also add Nasca, if you are into seeing this world wonder.
You can stroll through our blogs, and see what we have done and seen in both Bolivia and Peru...
Enjoy your travels!!!
