Flight questions for my trip in August

I\'m just about to head out on my trip, and just have a few questions about the end of it. Is it best to travel by land to Nepal from India, or are the airlines reasonably priced? What would be a good airline to check prices on?

My flight home is from Bangkok, and so I have to figure out the best/fastest/cheapest way from Nepal; are there direct flights, or am I stuck fighting my way through these new Indian visa regulations and traveling back there for a flight to Bangkok?

Thanks alot for the help! Reply to this

From India Delhi u can fly with Indian Airlines, Jet, JetLite, Nepal Airlines, Cosmic the reasonable would be max 120$ one way. Overland from Delhi or Kalkuta to Gorakhpur and then jeep to Sunuali to the border.Cross the border and then by minibus to KTM - total around 2 days.

From KTM to Bkk there are Thai Airways flying I think everyday..but can be a bit expensive...otherway as before..overland to India, DElhi or Kalkota and then with AirAsia, or some other cheap airlines to Bkk.

Last year my round trip flights Bangkok - Kathmandu cost US$520 on Thai Airways. It's cheaper if you fly on Nepal Airlines, about US$460 round trip, however I heard their flights may be delayed sometimes. Reply to this

From KTM to Kakarbhitta by local bus (less then 10$) overnight bus. Then a taxi, rickshaw to the border Raxaul/Birganj.Cross the border. Get a local bus to Siliguri /New Jalpaiguri and then train to Kolkata. Few days of traveling. But save $$$. Plane from CCU to BKK with Air India Express 110$ one way. So whole trip(transportation) should be able to make it in 150$ and good adventure😊. Reply to this
