Hi travellers
I am preparing to set off for a trip, starting from Warsaw, Poland to Australia. I guess I'll start the journey around May this year. The planned route would probably look like this: Poland - Slovakia - Hungary - Romania - Bulgaria - Turkey - Iran - Pakistan - India - Nepal - Bangladesh - Myanmar - Laos - Vietnam - Cambodia - Thailand - Malaysia - Indonesia - Australia.
However, if there's a chance I'd also like to drive through Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgystan or Tajikistan, depending on conditions there. Possibly China?
I am an anthropologist and experienced traveller, sometimes trying to carry out some little ethnic research during every expedition. I'm looking for someone willing to join me on this trip and ready to share the adventure. Method of voyage: I'll be travelling with my dog by an offroad car
all best to the people on the road 😊

p.s. I posted the same message on couchsurfing.com, wishing to meet the right person
Reply to this Hi, I am travelling with a friend John in a Hillman Hunter from the UK to Australia, Sydney starting out on the 27 Mar. Your blog suggests a similar route to us but because you cannot get into Myanmar, we are sending vehicle over by ship from Chinnai to Malaysia. We estimate a 90-100 day trip. Getting visas is interesting. Leave lots of time and be prepared to provide letters of introduction from Pakistan.

Reply to this Hi there
Well, that's a nice challenge, really. It's gonna be very difficuilt to manage everything, visas, permisions, etc., but its duable, definitely. Good luck with your trip
Reply to this Thanks. We have just the Iranian visa process to get through and then I think we have all the official permissions! It's then those on the road we all encounter we have to deal with - in the nicest possible way of course.
