I've seen cases of accounts being set up by family members so the travellers of the family can easily keep in touch with what is happening at home - just can't remember any nicknames offhand.

This was exactly the reason we set up our blog. When we went on holiday to Thailand 2 years ago we thought it would be a good and easy way of keeping in touch with family and friends and so much better than a postcard!

Now we are still using it for our travels around S. E. Asia and everyone loves it!
