travel plans for 2010 you say?

hmm.. is it called travelling if i'm a tourist guide & i get paid to travel to various destinations?

if so, then my first & most beloved travel plan is to get the heck out of egypt ASAP! luckily that'll be happening in a week... inshallah! it's not that i don't love exploring new countries, but egypt is, how do i say this without sounding like a whiny bitch? uhh i've almost turned into a lesbian, because of all the creeps that think they're so original with their sleazy pick-up lines... so yeah, whiny bitch it is.
hmm, maybe i'm just cranky because there's a lizard in my room & it's FREAKING me out!

so now that i've officially invited ya'll to share my pain, i'll move on to lighter subjects with a more serious tone... hopefully!

my destination for the summer will be corfu, greece & i'm going there in may. i'm especially excited for this because it's so close to albania & i've never been there, so DEFINITELY hitting that up!

after that, my plans are a little fuzzy, because i can't apply for my winter destination '10/'11 yet... however one thing i do know is that i'll be visiting my lovely sister in the US.

oh & also when i go home to denmark for a short vacation, i'll be hitting up germany, but i'm not sure that really qualifies as travelling, it's practically my second home.

i love how this thread is basically just bragging, but it's acceptable because someone else rolled the dice.

ps- would anyone frown upon me killing a lizard? i mean i would try to capture it & set it free, but that would mean getting within five feet of it & that's not happening anytime soon. Reply to this

I'm planning to go to Cyprus to spend my holiday vacation. I've heard that Cyprus is famous for its world class resorts and golden sand beaches. I love nature and I love the beach so I will definitely include Cyprus in my itinerary.

Definitely traveling to Seoul, Korea this August to begin teaching. For my vacation time I'll most likely go to either Shanghai (would love to go back), Thailand to meet up with a friend, or Japan. I'll most likely hold off on Japan until 2011 though since as a short ferry ride away could be a weekend trip. Reply to this

I'm going island hopping in Ireland. Three islands, Inis Mor, Inis Oirr & Inis Meain. Better known as the Aran Islands. One of the closet places in Europe to the US. Reply to this

Sylvia and I are staying in Oz for our next trip in August/September. Off to the Birdsville races.

Our journey is through Western NSW via Broken Hill, South Australia (Port Augusta and Woomera then up the Oodnadatta track to Birdsville) and Southern Qld (Birdsville Track - if it is not closed due to all the rain - to Longreach, Emerald and Carnarvon Gorge) before returning to sunny Budgewoi.

A long way in a bit less than three weeks but it hasn't rained like this in the central australian desert for over 50 years so we probably won't get another chance to see the desert in flower if we let this pass.

I'll even try to keep my blog going for the whole trip!
