Have you been to Jamaica?

And is it worth going to?

We're going on a RTW trip, and we need to choose between Jamaica and mainland US cities like Chicago and Miami. So if you've been to Jamaica, please tell me about your experiences! Was it wonderful, or awful? Or, even worse, mediocre? Would you recommend others go? For reference, I am quite interested in music and historical things but also the usual touristy stuff. I lived there for a month, Kingston is a city like anywhere else, but Jamaica is awesome, the people are nice and the land is beautiful. As someone from the states, go to Jamaica, not Chicago or Miami, I promise, you will like it alot more. If you have specific questions about it, email me at: trubodor@hotmail.com

Hi!

I've been in Jamaica twice, and enjoyed it very much! Not only is it beautiful, but the coffee's good, and it's a country with a pretty interesting history. One thing though, if you go to Jamaica: try to avoid the Spring break period, during which some of the beaches are filled with drunken young Americans... Reply to this
