what is the best way to get south of Mysore / Ooty

Hi, we're travelling down to Ooty for some trekking and from there would like to go further south, preferably by train, but unable to find any information. Is there no train south from Mysore? If not, what is the best way of heading towards Madurai or Kollam? Any advice gratefully received.

Hi Carole,

You would find many trains going out of mysore.. There's Chennai Express connecting it to Chennai.. Google for Indian Railways, go to the official site for train enquiries, and you will get many more options..

Hey Aditya, thanks for the reply. I know that I can get to Chennai but I didn't want to head in that direction. do you know if its possible just to head into Kerala from Mysore? Reply to this
