Hello everyone.
My girlfriend and I have Kili booked for September 2010. We were wondering how easy it is to find cheap accommodation in Arusha. Do we need to book a hotel or can we just show up and find a hostel.
Thank You. Reply to this

Hi,
I would recommend Ujamaa Hostel, they are a volunteer hostel but also take people for short stays. They can get booked out therefore you need to book them in advance.
Goodluck with Kili. Reply to this

I stayed at the Lutheran Centre right in the centre of town on Boma road - almost opposite to the Tourist Information Office. If you are after a fun vibrant place then this is not for you - it is institutional with no common areas but it was very clean and quiet - which suited me fine.

The price of my own private room per night was only about $10-15 (cannot remember exactly) which included breakfast. Even better was that the cost of washing all of my clothes using their laundry service was under $10 - an amazing deal. Reply to this
