We're a group of 4 travelers looking to go to Central America this August. So far we've narrowed our search to Nicaragua & Belize but are having a hard time making up our minds. Here are our particulars:
*We are all Spanish speakers so language isn't an issue
*We have about 10 days and are looking to travel around the second week of August
*Looking for a mix of relaxation & culture
*We're not super budget travelers but aren't made of money either
Any experiences/recommendations in either country would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Reply to this Hello Sarah 😊
I havent been to either, so I am no help with choosing. But, maybe looking at the blogs and photos by members of TravelBlog about both countries would help you decide.

Reply to this Hi Mell and Sarah,
Too bad i got through to your post too late! I would say Belize would be the best option for what you were looking for.
Reply to this Hi Sarah, we really liked both of them and would happily holiday in either again! Belize would also be my pick but it completely depends on what you're looking for....and Nicaragua would give you a chance to speak Spanish. We just found the people in Belize always made an effort to help you (our bus driver got out, found us a taxi, told us how much it should cost etc), there are beautiful beaches, ruins and great food. I know this doesn't help very much but I know you'll have a great time in either location!! Lara
