is this too ambitious?

I am going to be based in Kuta throughout and want to return to my hostel here every night. I will visit Seminyak on day 1 in the evening for drinks and a meal, and hang around Kuta beaches on day 2.

On day 3 I'll head west and visit Java? (by the way is Java advisable for a 1 day trip? What sights are must sees?) and the West Bali National Park.

Day 4 I'll hopefully go to Lombok from Padangbai and

Day 5 I'll go to Ubud and Kintamani

Can this be done? Reply to this

Just back from Bali. I did that all in 3 days except Java. So your 5 days looks good. What I also did was climb the volcanic Mount Batur. Await my blog which should be up in 2 weeks. Please appreciate that I had a car and la ocal guide with me... probably that must have saved me some time. Reply to this

Thanks Prakesh, What are taxis like there? Cheap? Efficient? Well you had a car so you probably dont know but does anyone else know? Reply to this

Look for Light Blue Coloured Taxis. The company is known as Blue Bird. These taxis run by meter and drivers are good. Flag down is Rp 8000. You will get Rp 9600 for USD 1. Self drives are very popular. Motorcycles are available from USD 3/ day. Cars are available from USD 10/day. Distances on the island are quite a bit. Don't forget to enjoy grilled sea food on the Jambaram beach. Reply to this

Is it easy enough to drive and navigate? (I will be a lone female). How did you go about getting a guide and how much was it? Reply to this

I believe it's pretty easy to drive. Sign boards are in English. Like England, they drive on the left side of the road. Honestly, I am not too sure if the place is safe for lone female travellers. My guess is that it should be so. Generally speaking, people were nice & friendly. Since I was hosted by my business associte (I am in the travel business), I don't know the rate of the guide. If you deem fit, send me a personal messsage and I can forward you the name and contact details in Bali. I am sure you will be in safe hands. You can discuss the commercials directly. Reply to this

Dear travel Dani

greeting from Bali .Your tour program is nice but for day 3rd is very difficult, because that is not enough for only one day, One day to Lombok is possible and the Kintamani tour is no problem, see you soon I wish Reply to this
