Tucan Travel vs Oasis

My bind is boggling. HELP! Does anyone have any experience with either of these companies?

Ok so I am doing the Santiago to Rio route with one of these companies, but which one should I go for? Oasis is marginally cheaper AND it adds Uraguay, whereas with Tucan it is only Chile, Argentina and Brazil. Does anyone have any experience with these companies? Want to know which is better quality etc. Reply to this

I found Tucan terrible in Africa! If you want an authentic experience then don't go with them. Try to find a company that actually uses someone from the region as your guide! - it's great for 2 reasons

1) By employing a local guide you put the money back in the region you're traveling. In my experience in Africa by employing an African you're allowing the breadwinner to feed his entire extended family

2) They have sooooo much more knowledge of the culture having grown up in it. You can study a culture but unless you're raised in it you won't have the in-depth knowledge.

Tucan just seemed wayyyy to by the book and less about the experience. And it is a UK based company!
