Burma's New Capital

Back in Rangoon, there are few obvious signs that the city is no longer the country's capital.

The one direct impact on local people is that the electricity supply - which was already erratic before the move - has now become even more unreliable.

"They've spent millions on the new capital. As a result, the services in Rangoon like electricity are getting worse and worse, but Pyinmana is all lit up," said one Western diplomat. "Locals joke that a 'transfer of power' has taken place."

I loved my brief visit to Burma... I had obvious reluctance to visit, but considered it well worth while. For the most part I had little interaction with the authorities, and my interactions with the locals made it worth going... visitors are for some the only contact with the outside world that they have...

It is because of the close link between the tourist industry and the government that Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi, who is currently under house arrest, has on several occasions asked tourists to stay away from Burma.

We are staying at Mandalay View Inn. They have a really good staff. I really appreciate their management. Very Good hotel. Home treats. They have full facility. They maintain very well.

Sister hotel also amazing!!
Hotel by the Red Canal

Fully internet free. Private satellite System with 100 over TV channel. Switch able Sound system.

Out door shower room is outstanding!!

Swimming pool and Gym are ok!

The main thing, Both Hotels accepts the Credit card.

Oh! My god it is too good

I really recommend both hotels

Both hotel management is by friendly Indian Guy
