WE are currently touring Eastern Europe in a campervan. We have just looked and dont need a visa for Georgia so think we might give it a go. Any advice would be great.

Hello Caroline and Scott 😊

I dont have an answer for you, but I am just wondering which passports you hold? Maybe I dont need a visa for Georgia either. That would be great. It will get bumped up a few slots on my list of places to go to, if that is the case. Getting visas is a pain.

We have recently be told that informed visa requirements for Aussies and kiwis have change, we no longer need to get visas in advance these can now be brought on arrival at either land borders or at the airport, not sure about saffas though, Hope this is helpful

If you are crossing border from Turkey there is no problem for camper, you should stay at least on night in Batumi; at the end of boulevard there is big parking area where all campers could stay for free. Other cities I would recommend hotel parking. Please consider that there are no camper parking available there with special equipment. From Tbilisi you can also join Georgia group tours and discover different parts of the country - mountains for example where the road is in poor condition. Reply to this
