Hi,

I am a single western female in her mid twenties currently living in China. I plan on traveling to Nepal and India on my own, does anyone have any advice in terms of safety? Is anyone going there as well, my travel dates are July 10th till August 1st?

My travel there is pretty flexible.

thanks,

Traveling to India in winter is always better - anytime from October to February - you'd get good weather and its the tourist season in India.

You'd get better deals on hotels and tours in monsoon but as Vaibhav mentioned, rains can be bad. Roads get blocked for hours and you'd be more susceptible to colds and other stomach infections.

India is a safe country - some amount of leching and groping that you should be vary of - apart from that you'd have a wonderful trip once you're here. Reply to this
