Christine and I arriving in Darwin for about 15 days, this September and would like to travel out to the bungle bungles and have a few days walking. What would you suggest?

We are planning to rent a van for most of the time, but realise the track into the the Bungle Bungles requires 4WD. What is available transport wise to take you out to the the park and where can you pick it up from?
Is there accomodation?
Any advice would be welcome

Hi Phil,

Can't help you on the transport side, although there do seem to be plenty of 4WD buses going in to the bungle bungles (I had a 4WD, so didn't check how to do it).

Accommodation: the camp ground is pretty cheap. Also, if you go for a trek for a few days, then the camping becomes free! Reply to this
