We're doing an RV trip from Vancouver to Calgary over 3 weeks in August. I know that we can't really go wrong in terms of having a good time but does anyone have any strong recommendations for activites with boys aged 8 and 10.
Our route is out via Whistler then Jasper national park, Banff Natioal Park, Calgary and the back via a more southerly route.
I am particularly interested in a fishing guide or trip - I do not mind what kind of fishing.
Cheers

Reply to this Hi Tea Leaf,
At 8 & 10 years, I would suggest you go to Calaway Park on your way from Banff to Calgary.
Good Fun and kids like it. The link has 50% off the ticket price http://www.calgaryattractions.com/coupon.html
Would also go to the http://www.tyrrellmuseum.com/ If you don't have much time, you can take advantage of the buy one, get one offer.

Reply to this Not sure if you are going all the way to Vancouver Island, but if not I definitely recommend it! I was there recently and saw all their major attractions and was really blown away. A lot of them are great for kids too. Don't miss the Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre, it's one of the best aquariums I've ever seen. And very kid friendly!
Cheers!
