I'd rather be clean and put on dirty clothes - provided the clothes were 'dirty' as in worn, not filthy.

I like to put on clean clothes, even if there is no place to take a shower for a while. I strongly dislike putting on dirty clothes when I have just taken a shower. But same as Jon, that depends a bit on just how dirty the clothes are and which item of clothing. I would dislike putting on dirty socks or underwear more than putting on unwashed jeans or sweater. And to think - a hundred years ago, they only had maybe 2 or 3 outfits each and did laundry once a week. Reply to this

A Medicine Man told me this one -

There was an Indian Chief on his way to see the Great White Father in Washington on the train and a senator across the isle from him on the same train. The senator was complaining about the smell and told his assistant to ask the chief how often he bathed. The assistant was taken back by the question, but did as he was told and went over to the chief, who's interpreter asked the question. "Twice a year was the answer." And the assistant told the senator who then went, "No wonder he smells."

Soon the chief decided to ask through the interpreter, how often does the senator bathe? The senator proudly announced that he bathed once a week, every Saturday night. To which the chief responded, "He must really smell to have to bathe so often." Reply to this

HaHa Dympna! That reminds me of something I once said to one of the horrible housewifes in my neighbourhood. They spend hours per day doing housework and think everybody should do the same. If you havent cleaned your windows for a week, they will let you know that it is about time.... One day I got tired of them bragging about how much time they spend housecleaning. One of them was saying that she vaccumes her house twice per day, and she said it right after she told me it is time to clean my windows. I said ''twice per day!!!!?????'' and asked her how she manages to get it so dirty. :D She didnt find that funny, but I did.

When I'm travelling - yep - same as you Slester.

I have a theory that if I keep myself clean - my clothes will stay cleaner for longer - so I can wear them for longer. Reply to this
