hi !
best way go to Vietnam from Hongkong is Flight only, and then when you arrive in Vietnam you can catch the bus go to Laos + Cambodia . Bus from Hanoi to Laos with cost be 15$/person. and from Laos you will catch the bus go to Cambodia or you be back Vietam and get the bus to Cambodia with cost be 22$/person . you will be enjoy with short-sleeper 😊 . From Vietnam to Thailand you have to go by flight only. i have no idea about bus to Thailand :D Reply to this

It's all depend of the time you have...and the budget.
HK to Vietnam, you can fly or take the train...inside Cambodia, Laos Vietnam....it's mainly buses if you are on a a budget.

Most people would do HK-North Vietnam, down to South Vietnam, bus or boat to Cambodia, up to Laos, down again by bus and boat to Thailand.

Hope this help.... Reply to this

Hi Sanjay,
To add to the comments above, keep in mind that visas on arrival in Vietnam (after you applied online through agent) are only possible if you arrive in one of the main three airports, so if you decide to go by train you would need to have your visa beforehand through the Vietnamese consulate :-)
Have a great trip!
