I'm flying into Malaysia on 31/5/. Just wondering if there is a direct bus to Mersing from KL airport? Read that the trip takes about 5 hours which seems a bit long to me. Thanks in advance for any advice.
Reply to this There is no direct bus from the airport. Mersing is far from KL ~350Km away) . Infact it's closer to Singapore (~150Km away).
To go there, take the airport train/bus.taxi to Puduraya station in downtown KL. thereafter look for counters selling tickets to Mersing. The most reliable semi-govt bus co is Transnasional having 9.00am, 12.30pm, 6.00pm,11.00pm,11.30pm. to Mersing...The best take the 11:30pm bus & u will arrived early & overnight in the bus. Ticket price for this 350KM trip is RM29.90 or US$8:30 only.

Reply to this In addition to bus, u can also fly to Tioman via Berjaya air. However you have to make your way to KL old domestic airport at Subang which is about 25km from KL & ~60km from KLIA. Check the fare & schedule here. This is the fastest option to Tioman:

Reply to this there is a bus from kl to mersing.. the bus company name transnasional.. there also two main jetty for you to take a boat to tioman island.. one from mersing itself and the other one in tanjung gemok..tanjung gemok is situated in pahang
