Family destination needed...
I need a nice destination (somewhere hot preferably) that we can take our children with us (ages 18 and 10 when we travel) that also has interesting things to go and see in the local area.
FH doesn't want to just go hang out on a beach all week but we want the girls to be able to so we are looking for the best of both worlds. Inclusive resorts a definite bonus because money is going to be fairly tight.

I recommend Thailand as an inexpensive and family friendly place to go with your daughers. You dont even need a resort. You could just travel around and hire a couple beach huts and stay in guesthouses. Even good restaurants are inexpensive compared with a lot of countries. There are plenty of things to do in Thailand. You could stay on an island and enjoy beach life for some of the time, and take cookery lessons in some other part of Thailand and spend some time in the jungle and if you are interesed in World War 2 history you could spend some time in Kanchanaburi for a while and there is trekking in the north if you are interested in that.

Reply to this I would also suggest Thailand, and then mabye combine it with Indonesia. Lombok(On one of the gilis)/Bali. But it depends on how long you are thinking of traveling?
