Cashing in on Angels and Demons movie in Rome.
World Hum reports that the Vatican is considering a boycott of the movie Angels and Demons, which opens May 15. A dozen or so tour companies are offering tours to the sites of the movie in Rome already. This is just one of the slick web sites offering a tour:

The controversy will surely drive up the movie views, but I wonder if anyone will back away from the Angels and Demons tours in Rome because of the church's displeasure? I was in Italy a couple of years after The DaVinci Code was released and it seemed that every city had a big DaVinci display to cash in.
Personally, I don't think I'd pay money for a hokey tour, but I'll bet that the movie will be good for Roman tourism in general. Does it affect your plans one way or the other?
