Hi all,

Another great site for reference info and forums on overland travel by motorcycles is www.advrider.com

We have used that and Horizons Unlimited (as above) quite a bit on our trip. Worth a look if you are planning a trip and need info.

All the best,

I've posted my freighter blog Freighter Travel Notes. Might be useful as a general description of freighter travel for other travellers. Reply to this

Just so these blogs don't get lost...

Andy Horsman's freighter trip from Singapore to Australia: I've Done It - UK To Oz Overland!

A freighter trip which failed: 10 days before departure - the freighter cruise has been cancelled.

GrammieB also started a blog in August travelling from USA to NZ on a freighter but hasn't posted since.

From Sydney to NZ: Due east to the land of the long white cloud - Aotearoa

There are also quite a few posts from cruises which shouldn't be ignored as a travel option - especially for us oldies!

John
