I'll have a few days between finishing at Angkor Wat and flying out from Bangkok and would really like to take in Ko Samet en route if possible. Anyone know how I can get from Siem Reap to Ko Samet and how long that would take?
I'm willing to look into flying to Bkk and then going south to Ko Samet but thought there might be a better way.
Reply to this If you are going to fly, you will probably have to go into BKK and then out to Koh Samet from there because of the international aspect of the flight from Siem Reap. There are island flights like every hour though so you should be able to get a flight into BKK and then just buy a ticket at BKK for the flight to Koh Samet. Either Bangkok Airways or Thai Airways fly into there and both are decent and frequent, and you'll get the same price for the domestic flight as you would if you booked it online.
