If you can blag (not technicaly possible) a visa for russia without the endless amount fo bookings it should cost 200 pounds low season 300 high from bejing to moscow, bloody visas.. if anybody knows a good embassy for getting a russian visa in laos, cambodia, vietnam, china, hong kong or mongolia that would be great. i am planning on getting the trans sib/mong in june and really do not want to fligh from ulan batur to kiev :O

Hi everyone,
I’m from Brazil and I going to do the Trans Siberian next July. I’m planning to stop over 8 cities at all: Moscow, Chelyabinsk, Omsk, Novosibirk, Irkutsk, Ulan Ude, Khabarovsk and finally Vladivostok. For this journey I plan to spend 30 days. I been searching at many travel agencies for the train tickets and most of them charge us around 2,5 to 3 times more than if you buy by yourself. So, I will book those tickets on line 45 days before the trip (the local train company allows only this condition). For those tickets I will pay on the second class US$ 508. I think is a good deal to travel one way through 8 cities. When I arrive in Vladivostok, I will fly to Moscow back for £ 115 by Aeroflot.
Anyone know about these cities? Is it expensive?? Is it dangerous??
