I'm looking to do a long overland tour in asia and can't find anyone offering them? There are companies doing shorter trips but they are not really overland trips. They all use local transport and stay mainly in hotels. I want to do a trip like the one's they operate in Africa where you really get to visit remote regions that no-one else goes to.....any suggestions??? Reply to this

Hi there?

I suggest you to visit Mongolia and have the great trekking trip. Mongolia is the best place to do overland trips. You can sleep in tents overnights and walt through the beautiful mountains and steppes. Your baggage and other stuff can be loaded on the back of yak or horse. You'll feel so wild and interesting. You'll meet Mongolian nomad people and have a chance to visit their families.

If you want more information, you can directly contact me, I can help you on this. e-mail :

Regards,
Tuvshin

I think you 'd book tour in a country with the tour operator in their owner country because, with the local people, they can organize and control every thing in their area better than a stranger. Reply to this

would you like to try Japan ? Japan is extensively covered by railways. simply grab a railway pass and you can venture out on your own. www.kidslovejapan.com has got some great ideas. dont forget to check out the passes available for tourists. Reply to this
