Travelling Malaysia and things to do!
18 years ago, March 29th 2006 No: 1 Msg: #4744
Hey guys and girls.
Me and my girlfriend are off to Malaysia in a couple of weeks and after an uninspiring time in Australia we are desperate for some culture and some cool places to visit. Any ideas of the best place to go/how to get there. We are working our way up from Singapore.

Thanx

Hi, you could have given some more details on how long you are intending to be in Malaysia. Its something different & you may like the country if have some time to spend.

I suggest visit Sarawak (East Malaysia) from Singapore before moving to West Malaysia.Accesible only by air flights. Depends on your interest but Sarawak Cultural Village http://www.scv.com.my in Kuching (Capital of Sarawak) not to be missed! Some people prefer to stay in the real village house- longhouse.

Otherwise you can start your travel from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur using a Train or bus or air.

Malacca is a historical city on south-western coast of Malaysia. A town with Portugese architecture & influence.

I suggest include Penang (north-west coast) in your itenary. It is a good place to see how diverse is Malaysia and hope you will enjoy the Malaysian food!

Visit pristine beaches at Perhentian island or Tioman or Pangkor .

There are more. As the saying " Malaysia -Truly Asia"
thanks
