Travel show is in 2 weeks, book now with discounts or use the time to research and take advantage of budget airlines??

Hi folks,
I'm planning a 2-3 month trip to SE Asia in Nov, Hong Kong for NYE and then India.

There is a travel show coming up in 2 weeks and I've started looking for ball park figures online. I will be going to the travel agent this weekend but I'm hoping you guys can give me some advice.

I live in Brisbane Australia but can fly out of Sydney if needed. I'm looking at Asia Air, Tiger Airways, Jetstar - any others I should keep an eye on?

My rough itinerary is Singapore, Phuket, Bangkok, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, then fly to Hong Kong, the fly to India and return home.

Is there a way to make these destinations more streamline???

I don't want to back track if possible but it looks like flights to Hong Kong and India would be cheaper and easier out of Bangkok.

I have been busy reading through posts and travel journals but I really need to get some good information by the end of this week.

Is it better to book at the travel fare with discounts or take my time and use the budget airlines and hope they're still this cheap in a few months time?

Thanks guys 😊

Hello Renee 😊

I would grab the bargains from the budget airlines as soon as I see them. They can change price from one day to the next for the same flight.

I doubt that a travel fare can offer anything cheaper than the budget airlines special offers.
