Hey. It was awesome. Amazing. Hiking up in the starlight was great! Unfortunately didnt make the summit - not through physical problems, as was feeling great. Problem was - I went weekend of the referendum. As a result, got a very inexperienced guide. Add to this - there were only me and the guide making the summit attempt that morning since not many groups went referendum weekend. He wasnt happy with the conditions at one point, and with only 2 of us, there´s no1 to help if it went wrong! So went back down. Still one of the most amazing experiences of my life! I would recommend paying more and getting a really good guide - well worth it. It´s pretty easy too, as long as you´ve had a good amount of time to get used to La Paz altitude (I reckon a week would be ideal, depending where you are coming from). June/July will be about perfect conditions for climbing. I may well be back sometime around then to give it another go!!
