Beware anyone travelling to Punta del Diablo that there are no Banks or ATMs.
The Brazilian border town of Chuy nearby (pretty much the closest town to Diablo ) has banks but nothing that will handle a VISA bank card. So bring enough cash and if you have to go to Chuy to get more cash, bring a passport with you! If you are more organised than we were, you may just love Diablo which is fabulous place to visit.
The campsite on the outskirts of town is on the main bus route (the only road in, in fact) so ask to be dropped off there if that´s what you are looking for. You can pay for the camping with a card and for food in their supermarket with a card as well.
