We would prefer to not do a camping or backpacking tour or in the country more hotels possibly cabins but more around the city area.
This is my first trip to Europe with my friend we would like some help deciding which tour we should go on we plan on going between 3 to 4 weeks and would like a tour which is great for value. We are both about 27 years old and are looking to go to Europe in July 09. we would prefer to not do a camping or backpacking tour or in the country more hotels possibly cabins but more around the city area. Any idea's on which tour to go on and which is more popular for our age group. All suggestions welcomed thank you.

I deleted your duplicate post. These forums are not busy enough to have duplicates.
Unfortunately there is not always somebody available who can answer all the questions asked here. 😊

Reply to this Hello Mark, 27 years is a good age to travel it. If you are coming to Rome I suggest you the Vatican Area, it's safe and convenient for everthing also shopping. Regarding the period I would say February if you want to take a low season period, otherwise the sun shines here all the year until October!
Reply to this you've got loads of time... 3-4 weeks. You could do a capital tour...
Madrid - Barcelona - Paris - London - Brussels - Amsterdam - Berlin - Copenhagen - Stockholm - back
Madrid - Barcelona - Paris - London - Brussels - Amsterdam - Berlin - Prague - Vienna - back
Madrid - Barcelona - Paris - London - Brussels - Amsterdam - Berlin - Prague - Vienna - Rome - back
so many things to see 😊)
Reply to this For Europe, my personal highlights and must-visits are Paris, Venice, Rome, Prague, Krakow, Berlin, Dubrovnik, and Vienna. Personally, depending on where you live (I'm sorry, but I don't know where you may fly from) perhaps start somewhere easy like London or Paris with great international connections, so for example:
London - train (Eurostar) to Paris - decide between Geneva (horrifically expensive) or Nice or anywhere south of Paris that takes your fancy - Venice in northern Italy - Florence - Rome - Vienna - Berlin - then return to your gateway city (unless you buy an open-jaw ticket. Or from Rome, fly over the Adriatic to Dubrovnik (great city) and work your way up the Balkans back to Vienna. From Belgrade, Vienna is not that far - Budapest is 2.5 hours drive from Belgrade, Vienna another 2 hours drive from Budapest.
Anyhoo... Best advice I can give you is for you to read up on Europe and decide which cities you like the sound of most and target those for whatever reason that suits you.

I know a good way to travel europe in your age. Touring with a little group arround West,East,Central Europe.
Touroperator is
. Check out that site and you get a what you want. greets andy Reply to this Considering that you have quite some time, I'd visit 5-6 places. In that way you don't overdo it in terms of travelling and have enough time to absorb the local culture. In Europe, most cities are appropriated for a 27 yo couple... I wouldn't restrict any place according to that. In any case, there are some cities that may be more culturally oriented (vs. clubbing) but crazy enough for a young couple like you.
Thus, I'd suggest, for example:
- London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Barcelona (West Europe oriented)
- Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn, Krakow, Berlin (North/East, not so populated by tourists but with awesome things to see)
- Barcelona, Marseille, Rome, Zagreb, Athens (Mediterranean flavour 😊 )
Good luck!
Reply to this Mark,
Do it on your own. With that much time get a rail pass and go with the wind. Make a budget, eat street food. When you find a place you like stay awhile, when you bored move on. All the above cities are great, so are the major cities of Sloviena and Croatia.
Reply to this I agree - all the suggested cities are good bets and doing it on your own is not so hard if you do some research. Plus, by being independent you will probably meet a lot more locals. Getting lost can add to the fun!
Reply to this I am not a tour type of traveller but from what I heard Club Med and Contiki might be the type of tours that would suit.
Anyone tried these and have opinions to share?
