Have you heard your first Christmas song of the year yet? If so, which one?
I havent seen any Christmas trees yet. They should be appearing for sale in the local supermarket after 2 more weeks because the traditional time to put them up and decorate them here is on 25th November.
I unfortunately hear Christmas songs all year around because my 8 year old daugher insists on listening to them on u tube. Sun blazing outside in July and ''All I want for Christmas is You'' blaring from the computer. :D
Reply to this I saw a couple of understated Christmas trees in a flower shop yesterday. Then I walked further down the street and saw a shop window still decorated with pumpkins and halloween streamers.
Reply to this Some of the larger department stores here in La Paz, Bolvia have a tree or two (I have not heard any music as of yet) and a few women in the markets were selling plastic spruce garlands and tree decorations. One department store I went into had a decorated tree for $500 dollars! For such a poor country as Bolivia you know it had to be an import.
Reply to this Today in the center of Munich there were lots of Christmas trees with more being put up. In the cafe where I went I listened to Christmas songs they were playing all through my coffee. Since I will be in India this Christmas where I will be lucky to see a Christmas tree at all, I am happy that I will be getting over a month of it here before I go. 😊

Reply to this eek! I just heard the first Christmas song of the year already. I love Christmas, but it is annoying that it has started before Halloween.
