I am taking my American friends to Kenya and want to give them the time of their life. I am looking for information about the best attractions in Nairobi and Mombasa

I have heard there are sites like which give the information, but I am not sure.

Thanks

Hello Dylan 😊

You could try a guide book like the Lonely Planet. It has a wide range of information about things to do as well as information about accomodation, safety, money.... It is available in most book shops around the world for around 30 Euros per copy. You can also buy it on the internet.

I am not sure if there is a special travel site that covers only kenya or not. If there is they would probably have very detailed information. It would certainly be worth doing a Google search. Even a site that covers just Africa could be very informative.

Hey Dylan!
Am real happy to see that you will be going to Kenya (my home country) for Holiday with your friends.Am Kenyan by birth though residing elsewhere.... i could recommend a couple of things to do in Nairobi, for sight seeing i would recommend Nairobi National Park,Giraffe Center and David Sheldricks Elephant Orphange, all located towards an area known as Langata, they all charge an affordable fee to get in.I esp. love the giraffe center as you are able to feed the giraffes some pellets and best of all they eat them from your hands,i like the aspect of a such a wild animal intertacting with humans...really cool :-))
As for Mombasa, the North Coast is good for sight seeing as there is Fort Jesus the old portugese Fort which would be a good place for you to gather some info. on Mombasa and its history. There is also Mamba Village which has some of the world's largest Crocodiles has well as a really nice nature trail where you will be able to see other animails as you walk through. If you guys are interested in the beach the South Coast is the place to be you will have to crossover on the Frerry, the sand is unbelivablly super soft and amazingly white...South Coasts is also famous for really nice hotels. There are several activities like snorkelling, diving, jet skiis all for a moderate fee varying from different hotels.
As for the night life,in Nairobi make sure you guys go to Carnivore Resturant in Langata area really famous with Tourists,Expats and Locals it has both the Resturant and the Dancing Hall. There is also a famous Club called Casablanca in Kilimani Area which plays really gud music and which also has Osteria Del Chianti as its resturant..
Am sure there are newer clubs to go for the night life as i have not been home in a while, maybe double check on which are the newer ones before going 😉
It may also be worth it to have a look at this website: www..magicalkenya you may google it as am not sure if it is .com or .ke you may get ideas on Kenya.
If you have any other qxns, fell free to ask me i will try my best to recommend to the best of my knowledge.....Have a blast and make the best of your holiday!!Enjoy... Reply to this
