Hello, I am thinking of traveling to South America for a few months from the UK and was wondering if anyone can suggest any agents they used to get there ie. quantas or anything as i'm not sure if I should just get a flight to Brazil and see how it goes or get one of these global deals? and advice please :)
Just wanted to know what flight tickets people used to travel around SA, if it was a round the world trip, like the quantas ticket or if they just bought a ticket to say Brazil and went from there??? Don't want to get ripped of and not sure where to go 😊 cheers.
Reply to this I bought a return ticket from Europe and that was it. Everything else I booked as I went along, it made my itinerary more flexible and also I probably saved money this way as prices are fairly good in SA. Flights are relatively expensive there but buses are excellent value.
Reply to this Cheers for this, I think thats what I'm going to do 😊
Reply to this Plus carriers such as one world (BA) don't operate a lot of routes through SA, especially smaller internal routes so you don't gain anything from having sector flights, as we've found out!!
Reply to this I flew to South America last year via the US with American Airlines then took a LanPass, as LAN are members of OneWorld Alliance. This worked out well for me - I had flights Lima - Santiago - Easter Island - Santiago-Buenos Aires for just over GBP £200. Great value for me, I thought. I didn't book hotels in advance, just looked up the ones that seemed to suit and went with the flow.
Hope this helps!
