Any one able to suggest the cheapest place to stay in tahiti(papeete) and moorea and give me an idea of how cheap in US/AUD/EU dollars? ANY tips about cheap food, drinks etc would be appreciated too. Nah I'm not miserable bastard but booked a 3 day stop over at the start of a six month adventure without realising how bloody expensive it is! Oh camping is not an option... I've looked loads but struggled to find much stuff on the net. Help me. Please... Reply to this

Hi,

I was there about a year ago if you want cheap stay get off tahiti immediatly and go to moorea. Its not far only about 30 mins on a boat from the main dock point on tahiti which you can get to from the airport by a le truck. On moorea there are a few campìng places on the other side of the island again le truck, that have dorms and rooms the dorms start around 12 US dollars a night its well worth it moorea is great alot more quiet. Have a great time check out my blog on it under bluenazar.

Cheers,
