Im rucking up to Osaka and Tokyo over the christmas and new years period and im very very keen to see a sumo match. Are they on at this time? where do I go?
any other suggestion for things to do/eat/visit is very much welcome 😊

Reply to this There are six grand bashos each year, always every second month (starting January). Each tournament is fifteen days long and usually begins on the second Sunday of the month. Tokyo hosts the January, May and September bashos, Osaka the March, Nagoya the July and Fukuoka the November basho.
