Hello!

In november I travel to Argentina, and to Antarctica (Quark Expeditions). I need advice about water/windproof jackets, boots, underwear. To buy it per Quark or in Ushuaija? What are your experience? Please, help😊...Thanks Reply to this

I travelled with Quark on the Orlova last December. A great trip.

We rented parkas in Ushuaia rather than buy them from Quark. It's far cheaper for something that you probably won't wear too often. Quark provide you with wellington boots for all the landings so no need bring those either. I'd recommend you bring two pairs of gloves: one thin pair - useful for when taking pics - and one waterproof pair. A wooly hat is a must!

Waterproof trousers and coat are also useful but not essential. Ditto thermal underwear. If you have these already bring them along. The weather in Antarctica is not so cold as you might expect, we had sunshine on a number of days, but you can also expect snow and occasional sub zero temperatures. Reply to this
