Where to go for dinner in Rio? Tourist attractions?

Hello

I'm flying in two weeks to Rio de Janeiro where my 7 weeks South America trip will start. I will be there alone for the first 2 days. I will arrive at around 6pm in Rio and will take a taxi to my hotel which is near the Flamengo zone. As I'm alone and a woman, where is a safe place to go for dinner (nothing posh, just some nice maybe typical food)?

Is it easy to go to the sugar leaf hut by public transport? What would you recommend to do in Rio, if you've got just three days there?

thanks for any answer

You are going to enjoy Rio......I have never stayed in the Flamingo Zone, so I cannot recommend a place in that area to have dinner but I am sure that the hotel will help with that. You must visit the Christo Statue in Rio ask the hotel how to get there by bus, it's very safe. Sugar Loft Mountain was my second favorite and if you enjoy a great day on the beach, I would recommend Ipanema. Finally , if you want to have a nice evening drink, I would recommend Lapa. Enjoy your trip. Reply to this
