Camping in europe with a VW camper, should we prebook sites?

We are travelling to Europe with our lovely VW camper and, so far have only booked one way on the chunnel and the first campsite near Paris.

We'll be going to France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Luxembourg and I wondered whether we should book all the sites in advance?
