If you are going to a high risk Malaria region it is advisable to take anti Malaria pills. Malaria is too serious a disease to take chances with. Check on the World Health Organisation(WHO) website to find out if you will be going to a high risk region.

Reply to this Be careful if you are a diver....there is only malrone which for three weeks will cost you over 130 euro. There is another one....doxy something....never remember the exact name...need to take pills for a month after exposure...way cheaper...but you need to be very careful with the sun.
You don't want to play with malaria....and all these other stuff...just did yesterday yellow fever, hep A & B, polio and tetanos. You may want to consider typhoide also...nothing cheap thought! With Hep A & B, be caeful, if you did only one shot and not the 3 over 6 months...you are covered only for few months...
Reply to this The other commonly used anti Malaria medication is called
Doxycycline
There is also Larium which conveniently only involves taking a pill once per week. Many prefer not to use this one because of the possible side effects. It causes mental problems in some people such as bad dreams, depression... It does not effect everyone in this way so it may be the one for you if you are not prone to depression or anything like that.
Reply to this Dont worry about Malaria in Malaysia.Unless you been to Jungle...or visiting Penan at Sarawak. Its depends the place you visiting now..
