Three of us (two from US, one from Canada) are looking to go to Tibet for a week/ten days from Kathmandu. All of the travel offices we've spoken to book really expensive set package tours. We're looking for a cheaper way to get in to Lhasa, and then we'd like to book a trek around Kailas Inner Kora. Is that possible? Does anyone know how that can be arranged? Approximate costs? The proper people to talk to?
