I bought a plane ticket to Ireland for next October.
It was on special offer if I fly before the end of October so that is what I am going to do. 😊

I also bought some bread and milk like I do most days.

Now that sounds like a great shopping trip!

I bought my 3 year old nephew who is travelling with me for 2 weeks (!!) the Happy Feet DVD to watch in our dodge hire car (read massive gas guzzling hulk of a thing, Mike refers to as his V8!! It worked a treat on the LONG journey! Plus he now thinks I am cool Auntie Sarah!

I also bought a ridiculous amount of sweets & water ...............and have just realised I didn't buy dinner. oops.

I now also realise I am hungry and its a silly time to try and find somewhere open to eat. ARGH!

LOL

It is so much fun buying things for kids. They are so easily thrilled. :D It is fun being an aunt because you dont have the responsibility of preventing them from getting spoilt like parents do. 😉

So how did you find travelling with a 3 year old, Sarah? Was it difficult? His parents must have been delighted to get a break. We all love our kids but too much of a good thing.......

I just bought milk today and a couple of pairs of socks. Reply to this

ha ha! Well, he is still with us, as his his mummy! (my big sis!). He is a cool dude here in DC, waving to the president when he goes to the "BIG WHITE HOUSE" and saying "Yeah man" at every opportunity!

Purchases today -

subway card for the great metro here!
Entrance to the spy museum!
Two bottles of Bud & a drink for the friendly locals we met in the pub in Chinatown!

Who says spending can't be fun!

I bought some nuts, honey and dried fruit today, to make museli. Also some fresh basil growing in a pot.

Later today I am hoping to buy this. A map for Saturday
But I am not going to use it until Christmas because it is a Christmas present to myself. Unfortunately, I cant buy things like this for just ordinary days because of saving my money for travelling. Well, not so unfortunate I suppose, because I get to see some interesting parts of the world. Reply to this

I ordered a map for Saturday on the internet. It cost much less than I thought it would, mostly because of the US dollar to Euro exchange rate. 😊 Reply to this

You sure get around Pierre. 😊

Today I went to a part of Munich where there are a lot of Turkish markets. There are so many Turkish people there and so many Turkish restaruants that going there almost feels like going to Turkey. The prices on a Saturday are also unGermanlike because they are selling off as much of their fruit and veg as possible before they close for Sunday. I got 4 melons and around 8 red peppers for 3 Euros altogether. So risotto tomorrow with fresh basil and roasted red peppers.

After that I went to the Body Shop and spend 26 Euros on shower gel. If anybody is thinking that I spend my money in strange proportions, you are probably right. :D Besides travel the Body shop is one of the things I spend more money on than I need to. 😊

Then there was a coffee at a pavement cafe. Reply to this

A tropical plant. If I cant be in the tropics....

At this time of the year there is a shop near where I live that sell these plants for 1.50 Euros because they are still less than 2 feet tall. They have the potential to grow more than from floor to ceiling height. I usually add another one to the living room every year if I dont forget to do it. One I bought a few years ago is now almost 3 feet tall.

And I bought some milk and bread today too.

Check out my new profile pic. It was taken by my boyfriend with the new camera. His birthday is not until September but he found out about the camera. He never could see the point of delayed gratification. :D Reply to this

I bought a book which apparently gives an overview of European history. It is 4 inches thick so I hope I will understand where everything fits in historywise after I have read it. Also, it is a best seller so hopefully easy to read.

Today, I bought some CD-Rs as my laptop hard drive is on the way out, unfortunately, so for peace of mind and security, I'm making copies of photos on CDs. It was hard asking sales assistants in Hanoi I wanted blank CD-Rs, they kept pointing me to music CDs. Bless! 😊 Reply to this

Springtime again - I bought flower seeds to plant on my balcony yesterday. It says on the packet that I can plant them this month if the temperatures are at least 20C, or else in May. Fat chance of getting 20C this month. It is snowing outside. Looks like I will be planting them in May. 😊 Reply to this
