Looking for thoughts/tips about traveling to Ethiopia in the rainy season.
Hello fellow travelers.
We will be traveling to Ethiopia in August. We have been to Ethiopia before, but it was in Oct/Nov/Dec. It was lovely at that time of the year. We would have avoided the rainy season this time as well, but that's when schools out! It's really the only time we can go back.
I am planning the details of where we will be going, and I would like to get thoughts from others about what effect the rain has on travels to various areas. Should we avoid certain areas? Take certain precautions?
I will post a second request for information about specific areas that we are considering for our visit.
Thanks!
Jennifer
Reply to this You can still have an amazing time even though it's the rainy season. You can visit the Museums around Addis Ababa. The national Museum in particular is a great way to spend your day. There is also this touring Place that offers a very unique culinary tour which actually included an injera baking session! For me it helped that i had a guide that arranged everything from picking me up from my hotel to dropping me off at night. I didn't have to worry about where to go or what to avoid! Check out myGuzo on the web.
Hope my tip helps you!!!!!!
