We are travelling around Chile this August, we can find some bus info but does anyone know where we can get an actual timetable from? Also some claim to have an online booking system do they actually work
Reply to this You can look at the individual websites if the company has one. There are no paper timetables. You cannot book Chilean buses with a credit card from abroad unless the card was issued in Chile. There are frequent buses to just about anywhere you might want to go.

You'll have few problems booking the bus the day before you want to travel, just holiday times that maybe more tricky and you might have to shop around but there are so many companies going to the same destinations its not usually a problem. Try www.turbus.com and www.pullman.cl these are the biggest 2 companies. busstation.net should be able to give you the webistes for others if they have them.
